When you spend two years working on three documentary films, pouring your heart and soul into sharing inspiring stories of women around the world, what do you do when you finally reach the release date? Two words: Create hype.

When you’re a nonprofit with no dispensable budget for marketing purposes, how do you create hype? Two words: Convince creatives.

The nonprofit media company UNLEASHED wanted nothing more than their original film series #CONNECTINGTHREAD to launch on Refinery29.com with a bang. To ignite the fireworks I focused on what both UNLEASHED & Refinery29 do best: Creative content and female empowerment. From start to finish, I designed, developed, and produced an international influencer campaign promoting the launch of the film series through female creators on Instagram. In exchange for promotion, we sent all participating influencers a jewelry gift for exchange. Hype created, debt avoided.
